Jurlique began with a dream - a dream to find an unpolluted environment in which to grow nature's herbs and flowers and manufacture them into the purest health and skin care range on earth.

That was in 1985 and was the dream of Dr Jurgen Klein (a scientist, naturopath and authority on herbal medicine) and his wife Ulrike (a botanist and horticulturist). Tiring of the pollution enveloping Europe they emigrated from Germany and eventually settled in the sun drenched, unpolluted Adelaide Hills of South Australia. A Mediterranean climate, perfect soil and a complete lack of pollution made it the ideal place to realise their dream of creating 'the purest skin care on earth', and it was here that the first Jurlique Organic-Biodynamic herb farm was established, along with a 'state of the art' manufacturing & processing plant.

Twenty years on, Jurlique's manufacturing facility has more than doubled in size, and there are now three organic-biodynamic herb farms in the Adelaide Hills from where the majority of the plants, flowers, leaves, herbs etc. etc. that go into its wonderful products are organically and biodynamically grown without pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilisers. Using knowledge based on the ancient arts of Aromatherapy, Herbalism, Homoeopathy and Alchemy, Jurlique's outstanding products work naturopathically, balancing and normalising the skin, promoting natural health and beauty from within.

Renowned for their exceptional purity and potency, Jurlique products are free of pesticides, chemicals, petroleum by-products, synthetic preservatives or animal substances. This is achieved by utilising the natural, healing, restorative properties of the pure, organic ingredients found in all Jurlique products. All water used throughout the Spa has been specially filtered to remove chemicals, bacteria and hardening minerals, leaving it feeling oxygenated and alive.

Our warm, caring, professional therapists are not only fully qualified, fully insured and fully licensed but are also Jurlique trained and in keeping with our holistic approach, often have qualifications in a variety of different therapies such as reflexology, massage, aromatherapy, nutrition, homoeopathy etc.
